RadEqual makes small apps and tools. This policy explains what data each of our apps collects, why, and what you can do about it. The general part applies to all of them, and each app has its own section below. We’re based in London, and we are the controller of the data described here.
The short version: we collect as little as we can, we don’t show ads, we don’t sell data, and we don’t use third-party tracking in our apps. Questions? Email hi@radequal.com.
Noir, which appears on our homepage, is a private project. It isn’t offered to the public and collects no data from anyone outside RadEqual, so it isn’t covered here.
radequal.com has no accounts, forms, analytics or cookies. It is hosted on Firebase Hosting, which keeps standard server logs (such as your IP address and the pages requested) to run and protect the service. Its fonts come from Google Fonts, and the Prose and Reel pages load release notes from our storage on Google Cloud, so Google sees your IP address when your browser fetches them.
We use your data only to provide the app you’re using: to run your account, sync your library, unlock what you’ve paid for, and keep the service working and secure. Where we rely on our legitimate interests (such as keeping logs to protect our servers), we keep that to what’s needed.
Under UK GDPR and the EU GDPR you have the right to ask for a copy of your data, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to receive it in a portable format. Email hi@radequal.com and we’ll reply within a month. If you’re not happy with our answer, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
We use Google Cloud and Firebase to store and process data for us. Each app’s section says which region it uses. Where data is processed outside the UK, Google’s data processing terms include the safeguards UK law requires.
Our apps aren’t directed at children, and we don’t knowingly collect data from them. If you think a child has given us their data, email us and we’ll delete it.
We’ll update this page when our apps change or a new one launches, and change the date at the top.
iPhone, iPad and Apple Vision Pro
Reel is a player for IPTV playlists that you add yourself. We don’t provide any channels or content, so the streams you watch come from your provider, not from us.
You sign in to Reel with Apple or Google. We receive your email address and, if you share it, your name. Your account keeps your playlists, Continue Watching, My List and shared profiles in sync across your devices and our Kaleido web app.
Your data is stored with Google Cloud and Firebase in their London region (europe-west2). Google encrypts it at rest. Google acts as our processor: it stores and processes the data on our behalf and doesn’t use it for its own purposes.
Video plays directly from your provider to your device. Our servers don’t relay or record it. Downloads are saved on your device and stay there until you delete them or the app.
Reel Pro is bought through Apple’s App Store, and Apple handles the payment. We never see your card or payment details. Apple sends us the transaction information we need to unlock Pro on all your devices: which product you bought, its dates, and an app account token that links the purchase to your Reel account.
In the app, go to Settings → Account → Delete Account. This deletes your account and its data. If you are the only member of a profile, the profile and its playlists are deleted too. If others share it, you are removed from it and it stays theirs. You can also ask us to delete your account by emailing hi@radequal.com.
We keep your data until you delete it or your account. Copies in Google Cloud’s backups expire on Google’s standard schedule after that.
macOS
Prose is a dictation app for the Mac. It has no account and sends nothing you say to us or anyone else.
Prose transcribes on your Mac, using Apple’s on-device speech model. Your audio and the text it becomes never leave your Mac, and we never receive them. Prose listens only between the two presses of your shortcut.
To type into other apps, Prose briefly puts the text on the clipboard, pastes it, then puts back what was there before. The pasted text is marked as temporary, so clipboard managers don’t keep it. Prose’s own diagnostic logs stay on your Mac and never include what you said.
The first time you dictate in a language, macOS downloads Apple’s speech model for it. That download is between your Mac and Apple, under Apple’s privacy policy.
Once a day Prose checks for a new version by fetching a small file from our storage on Google Cloud. Like any web request, this shows your IP address and the app’s version to the server. Prose sends nothing else, and we don’t use these requests to identify you.
Your shortcut and language choices are stored on your Mac only.
macOS
hpy.ninja is a Mac app for running and watching many Claude Code sessions at once. It has no account and no analytics.
Your sessions, messages, to-dos, templates, settings and usage figures are kept in a database on your Mac, in ~/.hpy, and are never sent to us.
The coding agents you run from hpy (such as Claude Code) talk to their own services, like Anthropic or GitHub, under those services’ terms and privacy policies. If you connect your claude.ai sessions, hpy reads the sign-in from the Claude app on your Mac, with your permission, and uses it only to talk to claude.ai from your Mac. We never receive it.
When it starts, hpy checks its licence with our licence server. It sends a random identifier it made for your Mac and the app’s version. We store that identifier with your licence tier, the version, and when it was first and last seen. We don’t receive your name or email address. The server is on Google Cloud in the United States (us-central1), and its request logs record your IP address.
hpy checks for updates by fetching a file from our storage on Google Cloud, which shows your IP address and app version to the server. Nothing else is sent.
The app loads fonts from Google Fonts, icons and placeholder avatar images from public services, which will see your IP address. The hpy.ninja website has no forms, analytics or cookies.
